Ángela Lázaro worked for Lincoln Electric in different roles for more than 20 years, and ending her service to this company as Technical and Commercial Director for Spain and Portugal. She has been a key person in the growth and recognition of Lincoln Electric as a welding leading company also in Europe, managing the integration of the products and practices on European standards.

She more than 25 years to Metallurgy and Welding experience, cooperating with Cesol in Spain

on the implementation of the European and International Welding Programs (EWE, IWE). She

has authored and co-authored many texts and articles for those programs as well as for the

diffusion of welding technology in industry and schools in Spain and Portugal. She is also a

frequent speaker at welding seminars and training programs sponsored by professional groups

and engineering schools.

She is a recognized authority in welding applications and her knowledge and experience is often demanded to supervise, monitor and advise welding applications in different industry groups: Offshore and Shipyard, Pipeline, Construction and Erection, Automotive, Process Industry and Engineering companies. Mrs. Lázaro earned a Licenciatura (Honours Degree) in Metallurgical Engineering in Barcelona University in 1988 and a degree as European Welding Engineer from Cesol in 1993, while she participated in creating the Welding Engineer training program in Spain. In 1998 she was awarded with the International Welding Engineer degree from the European Welding Federation (EWF), and then Welding Inspector, Level 3 in 2009.

She also graduated as AWS Certified Welder (C-Welder), Certified Welding Educator (CWE) and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and later as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI) by the American Welding Society (AWS) with endorsement exams on the codes AWS D1.1 (structural steel welding March 2018 code), D17.1 (aerospace welding code) and ASME codes. She also holds an ASNT certification as Visual Inspector Level II. Actually she is instructor for the certification program as CWI by AWS in Spain and also for several international welding codes as AWS, ASME, CWB and UNE/ISO/EN among others. she also holds several approvals and qualifications as a welder in processes: SMAW, MIG, FCAW, SAW and TIG.

This has been a demonstrated benefit in welders training program, since she is able not only to teach the theory of the welding processes and metallurgy, but also to train welders to improve their practice with the most effective technologies.
